Emily Sa. F7F King George After two weeks of this book sitting on my desk with a book mark in the middle I finally decided to finish it. This book was about the environmentally friendly jobs that are out there. A book that was over 200 pages of pure information about of 'green' jobs and people that do them. It gave examples of people who have green jobs like Jane Goodall helping the gorillas from extinction. I found this book boring and extremely hard to get through. If this book had less pages and less informatoin it would be easier to read but when it is constitenly page after page with info.,my attention span was driven too far. I rate this book 4/10.
Natasha Haines 8A I would rate this book a 5/10. the message was okay, that you could still make good maoney while being environmentally frindly, but it just didnt catch my interest. i think it would be better if the book was shorter, reading that much about virtually the smae things over and over gets old.
Talia F7F This book was alright. i mean the fact that the author is trying to support environementaly friendly jobs and make money but still be good to the environement but i there was nothing really to keep you going. its not the most interesting book to read because it's like the authors just purring information in your head, although some of the facts are fun to know. overall i would rate this book 4.5/10
This book was decent. It gave some cool examples of people, like Maya Green and Jane Goodall who have made lucrative livings off of green careers (hence the name). It was interesting to see how each person's story was different (a woman playing at Carnegie Hall in a dress made of recycled kool aid juice packets to an organic farmer). However, it was rather repetitive near the end and some of the stories seemed to repeat themselves. The only thing that I wasn't a huge fan of though, was the author's humour. It was funny near the start, but got a little not-so-funny half way through. All in all, I give this book a 4/10.
Gillian Young F7I I found this book very informing. It helps young enviromentalists see the eco friendly jobs out there. Sometimes I found the book a bit boring but other times it was quite interesting. I rate this book a 6/10.
Lucy Shen 7A, The book wasn't as good as "Whispers from the Ghettos" but a tiiiny bit more interesting as "tell me why" the way it reapeated stories that had basically the same message was similar. It could have been a bit shorter. It talked about stories of people trying their hardest to sustain the planet and it's resources. It was very inspiring although a bit dull. It helped me a bit on my geography project about being environmentally friendly.I looked up the "Terracycle" website and found that it was pretty cool and it could recycle things that arent even recyclable!! Also it got me thinking that I could possibly got to the waterloo university when i'm older to start an environmentally friendly business.Anywho, overall it could've been shorter but I'd give it a 6/10 for attempting to get more people aware that you can make money while being environmentally friendly.
