I just finished reading this book and I find the beginning when everyone is against the main character Robin makes the start of the book really hard to get through. When she goes to Nova Scotia to find out about her mother and finds a guy.... it all turns out well. I love happy endings and this sure had a nice one. A lot of people I know like happy ending too so the way the author finished the book made it a book you could put down without something to think of afterwards. I give this book 8/10 because its ending brings up my score but the beginning brings it down.

This was one of my fav books out of the fiction books. It was well written and even the title got my attention. Starting from the first chapter you're able to understand the title: a book about family hardship and realizing a truth u didnt know existed. i think i also liked this book because ive read other books by vicki grant such as Pigboy(that book was great). Robin is a girl that has everything because of her mother Mimi Schwartz. She is very distant from her mother because she alwasy seems to be on her talk show. Robin's journey begins when she and Selena find a ring in a chair in her mother room. Which very much out of the ordinary for perfect totally clean Mimi Schwartz. She travels to a fishing village in Nova Scotia where she mets Levi and they start dating and also where she uncovers the truth of her family. Crazy thing happen like almost getting hit by a car than having a rock thrown at u with a note attached to it. U woudnt believe all this happend because Mrs Hiltz wanted to drive her away from their home. Mrs Hiltz took care of Mimi and she dated Mrs Hiltz son. She later became pregnant and Mrs Hiltz drove her away.all because she was a bister. the most shocking thing was when Robin told Mrs Hiltz that Mimi was actually Minerva the bister she kicked out than she had a heart attack!

This book was good. I liked how it seemed so realistic and had such great voice, but i found it wasnt quite as interesting as some of the others i have read. in this book robin, mimi schwartz' daughter trys to find where a hockey ring and photo came from that she found in a chair in her mothers room. she knows she has to go to nova scotia, so while shes supposed to be isiting her dad, she leaves to port minton instead. right away her adventure begins when she flags down a van in the middle of the street at night. only afer does she realize what a mistake she made. from that point on the guy she met in the van the night she first came to nove scotia seemed to almost be stalking her. she saw him everywjere, even at the hostle she was staying at. her and levi soon got to be pretty good friends. meanwhile roboin was also trying to find out about ehr mom and what she was hiding. she found out the her mom was actually minerva bisterand her dad was actually prcy hiltz. i rate this book 8/10

I thought this was amazing!! When I first looked at the cover, I thought it would be a cheesy romance novel when it was an absolute un-able to put down novel!! The beginning seemed so normal but when you read further into it, it is definitly not! I never would have thought that Robin and her mom had such a past!
I love how Levi is able to put up twith her "rough side" xD!! I actually thought that Rosie was her mom, but then I realised that it as impossible unless Rosie had a twin!! My definite favourite so far, I rate it a perfect 10 out of 10! xD!

I thought this book was pretty good. It was well-written and had a good storyline. I liked how Robin was a New-Yorker, but she didn't feel like she belonged and when she traced back her roots, she found that her feelings were right because she truly belonged in Nova Scotia. I was really happy when she met Levi and they fell in love, but it surprised me a LOT when Mrs Hiltz ended up being her Grandmother. Overall this book was well written and and good story. 8/10

Not Suitable for family viewing was a great book that really reminded me of another one of her books, Qui Pro Quo. It focuses on Robin Schwartz, the daughter of Mimi Scwartz, a famous TV host. One day, she finds a ring from Port Minton in her mother's room. She finds this suspicious so she takes her friend Selena's advice and decides to go investigate. There, she finds love (a local guy named Levi) and we are lead to believe that her mother grew up as Rosie Ingram. There is also someone (Mrs. Hiltz) who seems to want her to leave. However, near the end of the book, more surprises are revealed and it turns out her Mimi isn't who she thought she was (she is actually a Bister, people shunned by the mainlanders) and her father is actually Mrs. Hiltz's son. This book was hilarious and very gripping. I give it a 9/10.

I really enjoyed this book. in this book the main character Robin is tired of people pretending to be her friends because her mother is Mimi Schwartz at least robin thinks she is but when she finds a port minton ring and a photo hidden in one of her moms chairs she's not so sure. this uncertainty leads her to port minton where she falls in love, gets hit by a car, is threatened, and finally learns the truth about her family. I rate this book 8/10 because it was sort of boring in the beginning.

This book is about a girl named Robin...who is a rich lazy girl, daughter of TV star Mimi Schwartz. One day Robin finds a secret compartment under her mom’s chair, there is a photo and a ring inside. Is Mimi who she says she is? Or is she a small town Canadian? Join Robin as she searches for the truth about her past. This is an exciting mystery and romance novel...a must read!

So far this is my favourite book. It took me some time to get in to, but I couldn’t put it down in the end. I liked how this author kept changing who Robin thought her mother's real identity is. I also liked how this book included romance...it was the finishing touch.

I would rate this book 9.5/10

This book was AWESOME! at first i looked at the cover and thought that is book was going to be either an inappropriate book or a cheesy romance novel. But i couldn't be more wrong. this book started out sort of normal. A teenage girl named robin with a famous mom, a best friend from childhood comes to visit, her mom has a secret, ect.. but it all changed when she went to visit port minion, Nova Scotia because she finds a collage ring from port minion high in her mom's room. when there, she finds a guy named levi whom she soon starts dating and she also finds out that her mom is a girl named rosie from port minion. But then she hears that rosie still lives in port minion! uh? Well i thought we would never know who her mom really was or where the ring came from! but in the end it turns out her mom is mariam Bister, who was best friends with Rosie. it also turs out that the ring came from Robin's REAL dad, Percy Hilts. i rate this book 10 out of 10. it was totally my favourite book so far.

This book was probably one of my favorites because I'm a sucker for teen romance :P
They mystery in the plot made it even better!
It was well written and I couldn't predict what was going to happen (which isn't good when reading books).
I didn't really understand how the title fit with the book but that was minor. I felt it took forever to get to the clinax of the story, though.
I very much enjoyed this book, none the less.

I give Not Suitable for Family Viewing a 10/10. I loved this book. I loved the mystery adn all the teen hormones with Levi. I didn't want the book to end, I thought the ending could have been better. I got a little mad with Mimi for taking Robin off the air, but once you heard Mimi's side of the story it made me feel a little better. Like I siad I loved this book and didn't want it to stop.

I really enjoyed reading this book.
The starting of the book "Not suitable for family viewing" is very vague, random and confusing. I find it very out of the ordinary that a 17 year old girl like Robin, who is not very busy in her life, would decide to research a ring she found in her mom's room, by going all the way to Nova Scotia. If that were me, I would not go all that way to find out about a ring. :P I was very surprised as I kept reading, because the secrets that her mom was hiding from Robin were very big, and I can't believe she wouldn't tell her own daughter that. This book cought me by surprise. The farther I got into this book, the more it seemed to make sense, even if it was very confusing. I did like this book, so I would rate it a 7/10, because I became very unsure about some parts of the book, but some other parts were very well written. :)
