To start off, I thought this book was the best book I have read so far in this competition. It's plot of a girl who can see ghosts and how they send her to a 'Mentally challenged group home' where she finds out more of this secret evil lab. I will leave it at that because this book is so well written that it deserves not to be spoiled. I rate this book 10/10 because I could not bear wondering what happened next so I had to read the other two books in the series. ☺☺☺☺☺☺☺

I read this book before it was put on red maple and it was so good i still remeber plenty of it. Ive read the whole series as well( if u havnt read the next book u should :) Clhoe Saunders has moved quite frequently due to her mothers death. Chloe life is finally settling down. She is attending art school, wanting to become a director, making friends, meeting boys. When puberty hits it brings more than the average knowledge. Chloe starts seeing ghosts, everywhere, wanting her attention. After she suffers a breakdown, her devoted aunt Lauren gets her into a highly recommended group home.

At first, Lyle House seems a pretty okay place, except for Chloe’s small problem of fearing she might be facing a lifetime of mental illness. But as she gradually gets to know the other kids at the home such as charming Simon and his ominous, unsmiling brother Derek, obnoxious Tori, and Rae, who has a “thing” for fire–Chloe begins to realize that there is something thatbrought them them all together, and it isn’t your usual “problem kid” behaviour. And together they discover that Lyle House is not your usual group home either but... 9/10

This has been one of my favourite books that i have read so far. when i first started reading i got really creeped out, especialy about the part where she is in the basement of her house. when she gets placed in the lyle house for seeing the burning janitor i got a little frustrated. im sure for chloe it would be much worse though, to see soemting that no one else can mustbe a pain. at first the house seems okay, even the kids seem a little normal. when liz disappears after confessing of her polterfeist she disappears. tori the obnoxious one gets mad about this because liz was one of her firends. rae then becomes her firend, rae has a "thing" for fire. derek is just a big guy that she has been having troubles with. for instance he threw her across the room easily as if i didnt mean anything to him. when she snuck in with rae and read his file, she saw that he didnt care abuot hurting other people and broke a guys neck by throwing him. that guy will never be able to walk again. dereks brother simon is really nice, charming almost. chloe started to realize simething odd was going oon at lyle house. derek, chloe, and simon became firends of sorts and derek told chloe she was a necromancer. a necromancer is someone who can see and talk to ghosts. chloe sees many ghosts, such as her friend liz that got taken away from lyle house. she also talks to the ghosts of people she found int the crawl space of the lyle house that told ehr they were lab rats for samuel lyle and his experiments in super natural people. thats what they all think they are, except for tori. the have to go on a mission to get away from lyle house. on the way chloes faithful aunt lauren betrays her. this book is a 9/10.

the summoning was sort of boring at the beginning but it got more interesting as read on.it's about your average girl who goes to art school and begins seeing ghosts.after seeing a ghost at school and running down the halls screaming she gets sent to Lyle house for mentally disturbed kids she meats a were-wolf, a magician, and learns that she is a necromancer. her and the supernaturals she has met break out Lyle house. the next morning she is betrayed by the person she trusts most.7.5/10

I think this book was amazing, I think a lot of people can relate to Chloe. When they sent her to a "mentally challenged group" I got pretty angry because it was like they were just covering up what was yet to be found.I loved how even though he isn't like Simon, Derek always seems to be able to protect her in the oddest ways. Once you've started, you can't stop! I rate this book an 8 out of 10, once you've finished, you have to read the other 2 books in the series!! xD

The Summoning was a great book - I thought it was great that Chloe had a normal life until she started noticing ghosts. I definitely thought the best part was when Chloe and the other 'mental issue patients' at Lyle House found out/realised how they're not schizophrenic or anything - they're just supposed-to-be-normal teenagers with nowhere-near-normal powers.... Like Chloe's ability to see ghosts - or you could call her a necromancer - and Rae's ability with fire. The Summoning kept me wanting to read the rest of the series (which I did, and I highly recommend it) due to the suprising twists and turns added in to the drama, like Lyle House's mission to destroy these supernatural teenagers they call 'mental patients'.

I give this book a 10/10! I loved how the author wrote The Summoning with a lot of 'oomph' right from the beginning - the book did anything but make me sleep!

I thought this book was very good! It was written very well and I couldn't stop reading. I liked the idea that there were more than one kind of "supernaturals" whereas in other books like twilight there was only werewolves and vampires. I can't wait to read the next book in the series, especially since the author left it at a major cliff-hanger. Although this was a very good book, it is not the kind of book you read before bed... Some parts were kinda scary... :P

I think that the book "The summoning" was a very well written book. I like how Chloe has no idea about who she is or what she is capable of, until she meets Derek and Simon. It is almost like her life is unraveling within every chapter. The ending was very exciting, how everyone was searching for the three, and I couldn't believe that her aunt betrayed her! This was a great book, and i could not put it down. :P
I would rate this book a 10/10! :)
And I will definitely read the next book in this series. :)

WOW! I loved this book!
I was getting tired of the vampire and werewolf junk, but this book was totally different!
Because the book was longer, it did take a while for the action to come in. It wsa mostly explaining everything going on to get you ready for the end. I couldn't believe they were only in Lyle House for a couple days!
Chloe is a very interesting character, and I was dying for a little romance but nothing really came around.
Another one of my favorites.
9/10
(I just finished the series today! I got my romance :P )
